At that time he was intrigued by people, fascinated by their every move and effortless weaving in and out of conversations. Standing here often he would watch the distant workings of the plant and listen to sailing boat engines ticking over timidly as the bow light illuminated a million dark ripples. Fear crept into his mind during those cold dark nights, he imagined the lonesome life of a night time fisherman and felt himself lucky to be ashore. Loneliness had been Sirius's biggest fear and the reason he had obsessively watched people for many years, feeling that seeing and hearing people made him sociable or at least, in his mind, held him above a level of solitude he wouldn't be able to bear. Conversations came infrequently and were never successful. At night Sirius had wandered around quieter parts of town. Street lights flickered often red, fox's felt safe scouring bin bags, and the odd fatigued face went about it's vulgar business. Back then he longed for regular social outings with familiar faces. All he got was drunk utterances of make - believe best friendships or lady's of the red light showing more flesh than sense on a night cooling in preparation for morning frost.

Mike and Sirius stood, below a tall wall, with jagged bricks losing their cemented grip as white paint faded slightly, sunlit but mostly shadowed by a floating harbour crane, numerous abandoned workhouses and a black metallic watch tower, with four pillars and remains of a wooden hut on top. Sirius, wearing a stylish blue lightweight jacket and a silver chain, began to walk. Beside him was Mike, haggard, frayed long past his age and weighing a greater value. Mike was a desperate man in need of help and the man who offered it to him was the person who caused him to be in this hell of a situation. Ferocious anger had long disappeared from Mikes face and was now an anger fatigued by strong spirits cultivating cancerous cells in his throat. Back then when he lost his happy family life he would have killed Sirius instantly. Now he was calm, befriending him, and through Sirius's newfound trust for all humanity, Sirius placed himself on the front line of a desperate man's mental war.

" Okay Mike, my good friends, time is infinite but memories are not so fond here, lets begin"

Mike and Sirius walked a few steps, Sirius bent his knees, went off balance and allowed his buttocks to relax on the rickety timber bench. He noticed Mike's large figure settle with less ease beside him, brushing the large black jacket that hid an unhealthy vision, behind the bench.

It's been a long time since I posted on my blog. Most of my writing was written without any preparation or drafting. What I put on my blog was usually precisely what popped out of my mind, through my pen and onto some paper.

I am about to embark on a university level creative writing course with the open university, making this the perfect time to sharpen my creative writing skills. After this entry I will be concentrating a lot more on editing my work before publishing it on my blog.

I am particularly interested in writing about human interaction, self improvement, fitness but I also have an interest in alcoholism and it's effects.

Images will play a much larger part in my blog than they used to, having taken many beautiful photographs recently, which i'll begin publishing today.

Life is an adventure as it always will be. I haven't made as big a step forward in the last year as I would have liked to, but I'm gradually working my way through numerous helpful / enlightening books and trying my best to improve every aspect of my life.

So let's begin with a path, the path this blog is going to take, as you will see a corner soon appears and who knows where it's going to take us to.

Raising children, no
Your mum baby father or son, who is fully grown? we are all skin and bone.

I hear voices
I see human beings
being with other beings
being what?
being born we are simply being
being baby's we are just being.
I'm being
but i'm not simply being, because i'm
seeing on the screen
hearing through the airwaves
socialising in my own
My ultimate goal is to travel around the world next June and to spend as much time on foreign shores as i possibly can.
My reason for writing and publishing this blog is to let you know about an idea that has completely changed and enhanced the life changing experiences we gain while travelling. For roughly half of my journey I will be staying with complete strangers on their sofa, bed or whatever they have to offer me. Unlike other free accomodation, this, ladies and kind sir's, does not involve squatting in a street corner, laying on a train station bench or participating in monkey rituals while trying to remain inconspicuous in their encolure at the zoo. It involves sleeping in the house of a local resident living in whichever worldwide destination you choose to visit. This invaluable experience is so simple yet life-changing and certainly an experience not to be missed. Not only do you get free accomodation in the warmth of someones home, you also gain from their local knowledge, willingness to be open-minded and accept you into their home, and the chance to make a new friend and perhaps meet many of their friends aswell.
It's nice to spend your day exploring the desert, river, lake, beach, jungle, glacier, city, knowing that a friendly face and someone to chat to greats you when you arrive in your temporary home

This process is known as couchsurfing and anyone at all can become a member without any cost.
www.couchsurfing.com already has 294,847 members from 220 countries with over 200,000 successful surfings already having taken place. There are over 100,000 couches currently available for you to surf all around the world.
As well as surfing, you can of course host people yourselves, which I have found to be just as rewarding if not more.
Enjoy, Adam

Slint are one of my favourite bands along with Tortoise, Battles, tired irie, alexander tucker, Clark and several more that shall remain nameless for the purpose of saving you a second of your time.

Part 1 The lyrics from Washer
Part 2 The meaning of those lyrics for me
Part 3 My new lyrics for Washer

Part 1 : The lyrics from Washer.

Goodnight my love
Remember me as you fall to sleep
Fill your pockets with the dust and the memories
That rises from the shoes on my feet

I won't be back here
Though we may meet again

I know it's dark outside
Don't be afraid
Everytime I ever cried from fear
Was just a mistake that I made
Wash yourself in your tears
And build your church
On the strength of your faith

Please
Listen to me
Don't let go
Don't let this desperate moonlight leave me
With your empty pillow
Promise me the sun will rise again

I too am tired now
Embracing thoughts of tonight's dreamless sleep
My head is empty
My toes are warm
I am safe from harm

Having been a loyal Halifax customer for my whole life, have just recieved a letter stating that because I didn't have the funds in that particular account ( there was over £2k in my other account) for a £26 phone bill, i'm now going to be charged an extra £39 on top of that! Absolutely fantastic!
It's going to be taken from my account on the 30th of April, long after i'll have left and placed all my money into an oak wooden box ( I hope oak doesn't sink) floating in the alive and honest soft blue ocean anchored next to my desert island tent.
Today I managed to get distracted by
1.) Having a bath
2.) Eating
3.) eating again to make sure I wasn't too hungry to work
4.) Snacking on chocolate several times
5.) Trying to fix my printer so that I could print my incomplete assignment off.
6.) watching an all important snooker match between two players I don't even know
7.) I actually managed to start writing... when all of a sudden!! You'll never guess what! A woodlouse happened to be sat next to my piece of paper. Before I managed to capture it and return it to it's native outdoors, it managed to wriggle it's way under and in between every bit of paper I had on the floor. How can a woodlouse distract me for 15 whole minutes?
and now i'm here writing this.... haha
